AIHM has published, with the support of the EDP Foundation, «War in the Iberian Peninsula, 700-1600», London & New York, Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group), 330 pp. (col. «Themes in Medieval and Early Modern History»). This book was coordinated by Francisco García Fitz and João Gouveia Monteiro. Altogether, 13 authors have analysed the reality of all Iberian kingdoms (Christian as well as Muslim ones) and also the Spanish and Portuguese empires during the 16th century.

In 2020, «Guerra, ejército y fiscalidade en al-Andalus. (ss. VIII-XII)», by Josep Suñé Acre, was published by La Ergastula, becoming the first on a book series – Iberian Medieval War (dir. Francisco García Fitz) –, which has the AIHM quality seal. This first one corresponds to a revised version of its author’s doctoral dissertation, which was awarded the AIHM – Banco Santander Totta 2018 Award.

In 2021, «Fechos de Armas. 15 hitos bélicos del Medievo Ibérico (siglos XI –XV)» was published by La Ergástula (Madrid). This book was coordinated by Martín Alvira Cabrer and Miguel Gomes Martins.

In 2021, «De fusta e de fierro. Armamento medieval cristiano en la península ibérica (siglos XI-XVI)» (ed. Martín Alvira Cabrer), the third volume of this Iberian Medieval War book series, which is coordinated by Prof. García Fitz, was also published by La Ergástula. This book, benefiting from multidisciplinary perspectives, studies the weapons used in the medieval Iberian kingdoms between the 11th and the 16th centuries.
